Valdok II

Clark Design Group’s design of this 6-story apartment building, located near the center of the Ballard Neighborhood of Seattle, was influenced by Scandinavian culture and design. By blending contemporary materials with warmer colors and wood, providing large expanses of glass and creating an intimate relationship between the building and the sidewalk edge, the perceived length of this 300’ building will be diminished. The building will contain 157 residential units and 157 parking stalls on 2 levels of below-grade parking.

Much of the building’s amenity space will be located at ground level, featuring a lobby that is open to both the street and a private courtyard behind the building. Two-story live/work units along the street will feature outdoor terraces to further enhance the pedestrian experience, while still providing separation and privacy for residents. A neighborhood-scaled retail space will also be provided to animate the corner.
